Teachers in the DMV spend their own money on their classrooms every year. Teachers Who Move already puts $20 toward that from every completed move. If you want to add something of your own, this is where.
You are not a customer here
Nothing on this page is part of a moving bill. If you have booked a move with us, your quote is your quote — we do not add a donation to it and we will never ask you at the door. The $20 per completed move comes out of what we earn, not out of what you pay.
This page is here because people asked. Give what you want, or nothing at all, and it changes nothing about how we work for you.
Where it goes
Classroom supplies and direct support for teachers in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland — the paper, pencils, tissues, headphones and books that teachers currently buy out of their own pockets.
We publish what the fund has taken in and what it has bought on the community impact page. Those counters only move when something real has happened. If you would rather see the receipts before giving, that is the right instinct and that is the page to check.
This is not a tax-deductible donation
Teachers Who Move is a for-profit business, not a registered charity, and we are not going to pretend otherwise to make a gift feel better. You will not receive a tax receipt, and you should not claim this on a return. If a deduction matters to you, give directly to a school foundation or a registered education charity instead — that is genuinely the better route, and we would rather say so than take your money under a misunderstanding.
