Van and Crew
Van and Moving Crew for DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia
When you need someone to bring the truck as well as the muscle, our van-and-crew service covers the whole move: two trained crew members, a cargo van, blankets, dollies and straps, and careful loading, transport and unloading. It is the right fit for studio, one-bedroom and small two-bedroom moves within the DMV, and for anything that fits comfortably in a cargo van rather than a 26-foot truck.
What a cargo van move actually holds
A cargo van is the right vehicle for a studio or one-bedroom apartment, a dorm or group-house room, a partial move, or a delivery of several large items. A typical load is a bed frame and mattress, a dresser, a sofa or loveseat, a dining table with chairs, a desk, a TV and fifteen to thirty boxes. Larger two-bedroom and three-bedroom homes usually need a full-size truck — if that is your move, tell us and we will point you to labor-only help with a rental truck instead of selling you the wrong service.
Why hourly, and what the clock covers
Billing starts when the crew arrives at your pickup address and stops when the last item is placed at your destination. Drive time between your two addresses is part of the move and is on the clock; our travel to your first address is not. There is a three-hour minimum, which is what a genuinely careful small move takes once you account for parking, elevators, wrapping and placement.

Questions
Van and Crew — frequently asked
How much can fit in your cargo van?
Roughly the contents of a studio or one-bedroom apartment: a bed, a dresser, a sofa, a table and chairs, a desk and fifteen to thirty boxes. If your move is bigger than that, we can either make more than one trip on the clock or recommend labor-only help with a rental truck, which is usually cheaper for larger homes.
What is the three-hour minimum?
Every van-and-crew booking is billed for at least three hours at $159 per hour, which is $477. If your move genuinely takes less time, the minimum still applies — it covers scheduling a crew and a van for your window.
Do you charge for drive time between my addresses?
Yes. The clock runs from arrival at your pickup address until the last item is placed at your destination, and driving between the two is part of that. We do not bill you for our travel to your first address.
Can you move a piano, a gun safe or a hot tub?
Not without approval in advance. Pianos, safes and extremely heavy items are on our restricted list because they need specific equipment and crew. Ask us before you book and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
What if my building requires a certificate of insurance?
Tell us during the quote process. We will tell you plainly what documentation we can and cannot provide right now so you are not surprised on move day.
