What counts as a small move

A studio or one-bedroom apartment. One room out of a group house. A partial move where the big furniture stays and everything else goes. A dorm or student housing move. Moving in with a partner and bringing only your own things. Getting a storage unit emptied into a new place. If a full-size truck and a five-person crew feels absurd for what you own, this is the service.

Honest minimums

Labor-only small moves start at two hours ($238). Van-and-crew small moves start at three hours ($477) because we are also scheduling and driving a vehicle. We do not pad estimates to reach a bigger minimum, and if your move finishes early we will tell you rather than finding extra work.

• Full-house moves — those need a bigger truck and crew than we run
• Long-distance or interstate transport
• Packing materials unless you add packing help
• Storage

How it works

1. List what is actually going

   For a small move the item list matters more than the home size. Six pieces of furniture and twenty boxes is a very different job from twenty pieces and six boxes.

2. Pick labor-only or van-and-crew

   If you have a car, a friend with a pickup or a rental booked, labor-only is cheaper. If not, we bring the van.

3. Approve your written quote

   With the hour range and the minimum stated plainly.

4. Move day

   Usually done inside the minimum window for a true studio move.
