What we collect
When you request a quote, contact us or apply to join the crew, we collect the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, the addresses involved in your move, details about your property and belongings, your preferred dates, any photographs you upload, and any message you write. We also record basic technical information such as the pages you visited and the source that referred you, which we use to understand how people find us.
How we count visits
To understand how many people visit and which pages help them, we count page views on our own server, without cookies. For each page view we record the page, the name of the website that sent you (such as google.com, never the full link), and the approximate city and region our hosting provider supplies. To tell visits apart without identifying anyone, we turn your IP address, browser type and the date into a code that changes every day; your IP address itself is not stored, and the code cannot be used to follow you from one day to the next. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.
How we use it
We use your information to prepare your estimate and quote, to schedule and carry out your move, to contact you about your request, to process deposits and payments, and to keep records of the work we have done. We use crew application information solely to assess applications and, where an applicant proceeds, to arrange work.
Marketing and text messages
We separate transactional messages from marketing. Transactional messages relate to a request or booking you have made and are necessary to provide the service. Marketing messages are optional, require your separate consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or telling us.
Who we share it with
We share information with service providers who help us run the business — our payment processor, our email provider, our hosting provider and, where applicable, a text-messaging provider. They receive only what they need. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
Photographs
Photographs you upload with a quote request are used to prepare your estimate and plan your move. We will not publish a photograph of your home or belongings on our website, in marketing or on social media without asking you for permission first, separately and in writing.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests, bookings and payment records for as long as we need them for the service and for our business and tax records. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
Security
Submissions are stored in our database with access restricted to authorized administrators. Uploaded files are stored with access controls and are not attached to notification emails. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and withdraw marketing consent at any time. Contact us using the details on our contact page.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date shown on this page.
