Bethesda splits neatly into two kinds of move: the downtown condo and apartment buildings, where the elevator reservation and the garage clearance decide your day, and the residential streets west and north of the core, where a driveway and a straightforward staircase make for one of the easiest moves in the region. We work both, seven days a week, at the same rates.
The condo and apartment buildings around Woodmont Avenue, Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda Row and the Woodmont Triangle are almost all elevator buildings with structured parking. Expect to reserve a freight elevator, to load from an interior garage or a designated bay, and to be asked what documentation your movers carry. Garage clearance is the detail worth measuring: these garages are built for cars, and a cargo van fits where a rental box truck will not. Street parking around Bethesda Row is metered and heavily used, so the garage or dock is almost always the plan.
Outside the core, Bethesda is largely detached single-family homes on generous lots with driveways and garages. These moves are easy on parking and carry distance, and the hours are driven by interior stairs and by how much of the house is actually going. A great many of our bookings here are partial: a home office packed and moved, a basement cleared, furniture delivered and assembled, or one room’s contents taken to a storage unit.
Bethesda is exactly the kind of place where a full-service moving company quotes a four-bedroom-house price for a job that is really a bed, a desk and twenty boxes. If your move is small, say so — labor-only starts at $238 and a van and crew at $477, and we would rather quote you accurately than sell you hours you do not need.
Not an exhaustive list — if your neighborhood is not named, ask.

Before you set a date, ask your building or property manager three questions: what hours moves are permitted, whether the elevator or dock must be reserved, and what documentation they require from a moving company. Those three answers shape the whole plan.

Local questions
A cargo van clears the great majority of Bethesda residential garages. Check the posted height at the entrance and send us the number; if it is tight we load from the street or the designated bay instead.
Send us exactly what they require during the quote process. We will tell you honestly what we can document today rather than promising paperwork we cannot produce.
Those are among our most common Bethesda bookings. Labor-only starts at $238 for two hours.
Yes — adding assembly to a delivery is cheaper than booking a separate visit. Delivery starts at $149 and assembly from $89.
We publish real completed moves here — what the job was, how long it took and what it cost — once we have done them in this area and have the customer's permission to describe the work. Nothing invented goes on this page.
