What the work is like
Flexible availability
You tell us when you are available. We do not assign work you have not accepted.
Moving and safety training
Every crew applicant completes moving, lifting, equipment, safety and customer-service training before accepting assignments.
Clear job information
Before you accept an assignment you see the address, the access, the item list, the expected hours and the crew.
Respectful team culture
Crews are small, and we work the way we would want a colleague to work with us.
Community impact
Every completed move puts $20 toward classroom supplies and support for local teachers in the DMV.
Being straightforward with you. A note on what this is: submitting an application does not guarantee work, and we use the term “crew applicant” because worker classification has not yet been legally finalized. We will tell you exactly what the arrangement is — including pay, classification and scheduling — before you accept any assignment.
The physical side. Moving work is physical. Crew members need to be able to lift and carry furniture and boxes safely as part of a team, climb stairs repeatedly while carrying, work on their feet for several hours, and follow equipment and safety procedures. If you have questions about whether the work is suitable for you, ask us before applying.
